We just received photos of our two latest finished kitchens – one built in a lovely new-build home in Salisbury and the other in a refurbished and extended home in London. Now the houses are finished, it is great to see how the kitchens look!
This first kitchen was one of four that we fitted in the same development plot in Salisbury, all finished using the Kuhlmann ‘Mila’ door. This is a laminate door, available in a range of 6 or 7 colours and with a number of woodgrain effects available.
Graham collaborated with the developers to choose the colours of the kitchens and we feel they are very ‘on trend’ for 2013/2014. Earthy, natural tones are really marching their way into the kitchen market at the moment and a number of our suppliers have recently produced new lines with many more of these neutral tones available.
The shadow of the handles on the doors gives the impression that the doors are ‘s-shaped’ but they are actually completely flat. This kitchen features a built-in double oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a pull-out bin and a large gas hob. The stainless steel appliances match beautifully with the handles on the doors.
The walls of the kitchen are painted in Farrow and Ball ‘Slipper Satin’ and the glash splashback has been made to match this.
This second kitchen, based in London, uses the same door and handle (Kuhlmann ‘Mila’), but in a slightly lighter shade.
The layout is very different and features a quartz worktop and a solid timber breakfast bar. What we love about this kitchen is the great use of lighting. Both kitchens feature lights under the wall units, but this London home also has some lovely hanging pendant lights over the breakfast bar which are an interesting feature. There are a huge range of pendant lights available and we have seen many kitchens really come to life because of clever lighting ideas!
We thoroughly enjoyed designing these fantastic kitchens and look forward to using more of the Kuhlmann range in the future. For more information about our ‘Mila’ kitchens call us on 01722 321447 or email: [email protected]
